I love the designs of kitchen towels and really enjoy crocheting the tops so they can hang on the kitchen cabinets or handles of the refrigerator, dishwasher, or stove. They're often used as hanging towels in the bathroom too.
I have many towels awaiting my crochet hook to make the single towels with button closure which I sell for only $3.00. I have many more full towels which I can make as double towels (or long towels) for $4.50. Double towels are not cut, but crocheted on the fold. They are the same size as the singles, just two-sided. Velcro closure is $.50 more for singles and doubles.
I use First Class Mail: postage for 1 towel is $2.50; 2-3 towels is $3.00; 4-5 towels is $3.75; and 6-7 towels is $5.00. These fit in a manila envelope, though 6-7 often weigh enough for priority mail. Postage for a box: 8-10 towels is $7.00; 11-13 is $7.75; 14-16 is $8.50; 17-20 is $9.25; 21-23 is $10.00; 24-26 is $10.75 and 27-30 towels is $11.50. One double towel naturally counts as 2 towels in regards to postage costs. I usually go to the post office to mail out on the weekend.
Payment preferred is cashiers check, money order, personal check, and Paypal direct transfer only--sorry, no credit or debit cards through Paypal. Personal check orders may be held until the check clears.
My towels are mainly divided into 5 main categories:
1)ANIMALS & INSECTS ; 2)FLOWERS ; 3)FRUITS, VEGETABLES & HERBS ; 4)HOLIDAY OR SEASONAL ; and 5)MISCELLANEOUS. There are some special towels and towel sets that you may wish to see.
Requests: I can make these towels to your preference. If you want a towel crocheted in a different color, let me know. I've also sold an uncrocheted towel along with a matching crocheted hanging towel. I've hand-sewed velcro instead of a button for those with arthritis who needed the velcro. And I've crocheted the tops of towels for people who mailed me the towels they want done. (See custom pricing at the bottom of Contents page.)
Over 800 towels are already crocheted. (734 singles and 56 doubles on 08/24/2008) Please find the items you'd like to order and email me your requests. Since I am mailing out orders, remember your family and friends who are not nearby. I can mail their gifts directly to them There are over 100 pages to this site so you're sure to find a towel you'd like.
Christmas Shopping: I take specific Christmas orders until November 15th. I will sell towels I have already finished and I do have many towels crocheted already. After the cutoff, if you wish a general order like 10 Christmas towels, or 3 flower towels-in either yellow, blue or green yarns, I can very likely fill the order from my finished inventory. My first Christmas orders are prior to June. I sell more Holiday towels, especially Easter, as Christmas orders.
